    Galileo Health is a telehealth platform that provides patients with expert and individualized care from highly trained and fully qualified online doctors at any time of the day from anywhere in the states they currently operate - CA, CT, FL, NC, NJ, NY, PA, SC, TX, and WA.

    Galileo Health was created by Dr. Thomas Lee (MD), a Harvard qualified internist with an entrepreneur's spirit and visionary drive. Before launching Galileo Health, Dr. Lee created One Medical, which has since gone on to lead and dominate the field of technology-led primary care, and Epocrates, a revolutionary smartphone app that has become an invaluable medical reference tool.

    Dr. Lee was inspired to create Galileo Health after realizing that the healthcare model that he had been a part of for a few years just didn’t work in the modern world.  In a world ruled by instant gratification and free same-day delivery, the process of seeing a doctor face-to-face was inconvenient, expensive, and ineffective.

    He started the Galileo Health wave by first bringing together a team of exceptional medical practitioners and then reimagining the relationship between doctor and patient. Dr. Lee and the team then created next-gen tech that had the potential to help the average person live better, healthier, and happier lives.

    Underpinning, all of this was a desire to make quality healthcare more accessible, effective, and affordable. So far, Galileo Health reviews have perfect. Galileo Health is run according to 5 key principles:

    How Does Galileo Health Work?

    Unlike some of the larger telehealth platforms we’ve previously reviewed, Galileo Health is only available in ten states (see above). As with those other platforms, the first thing the patient needs to do is download the app. Their smartphone app is compatible with both Android and iOS smart technology. To get the app, the patient must enter their phone number on the Galileo Health website. They will be then be sent a link that will allow them to download the app.

    Once the app is installed, the patient will need to set up their personal profile and select the membership level that best suits their needs and budget (more on these options in the next section of this review).

    Once they are all set up, the patient will be connected to one of Galileo Health’s fully qualified and board-certified virtual doctors who will then ask them a number of general medical questions to help them understand the needs of each particular individual.

    Once the patient has completed all of the above, they can now request an online consultation with one of the virtual doctors on call within a matter of minutes. One feature that Galileo Health offer that the competition does not is the option to recommend to you an in-person specialist near your location if deemed necessary.
