    Dermacare Company Overview

To get started with Dermacare you will be required to fill out a questionnaire, where you talk about your skincare goals, and upload a series of photos, this is then evaluated by a professional dermatologist. Using the information you provide, the dermatologist creates a custom prescription medication made just for you. You should then receive your custom treatment package in the mail within a week. When your refill is due in a month and you end up seeing improvement or your skin issues change you are able to upload new photos and your prescription can then adjusted to meet your new needs.

All Dermacare products are gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, paraben-free, and are not tested on animals. Dermacare claims that with their approach and ingredients it has been clinically shown that they can treat 90% of acne and signs of aging. Dermacare makes no guarantee that they will be able to help you get clearer skin, but they will work with you to find the best formula for your skin. Their website contains many client results with before and after photos that seem promising. If you are unhappy with your treatment results they do provide a 100% refund within 60 days of use.

    Is Dermacare Right For You?

Dermacre is a convenient way to receive prescription-strength skin care for far less than if you went into a dermatologist office. Dermacare is a great option for those who do not have health insurance to cover the cost of a dermatology appointment or treatment. Dermacare is great for those who are seeking treatment for their skincare issues from the comfort of their own home, it saves a trip to the doctor’s office and is convenient for those who may live rurally.

    Is Dermacare Credible?

Dermacare was founded by Dr. Alex Jovanovich MD who has a history as a primary care provider and has had a personal history of acne and skincare concerns. Dr. J started Dermacare when he realized that many people who struggle with common skincare issues struggled to find treatment due to cost or being unable to find the best treatment for them. Dermacare connects its users to board-certified doctors who customize unique treatment packages to each user. Dermacare also states that their software is HIPAA compliant, so you can feel secure knowing your information is safe.

Dermacares website provides many results photos as well as promising reviews. When on the review section of Dermacares website it directs you to their Facebook page to read full reviews. When reading reviews on their Facebook page the most recent reviews are a year or more old, many of them are great reviews, however, it is concerning that they do not have more recent reviews than that.

Active ingredients used in Dermacare products

    • Niacinamide - is an antioxidant derived from vitamin B3 and is known to fight acne, inflammation, and hyperpigmentation of the skin. In skin care it is used primarily to fight acne, clogged pores, and dark spots.
    • Zinc - This mineral reduces the formation of damaging free radicals and protects the skin’s lipids and fibroblasts (the cells that make collagen) when skin is exposed to UV light, pollution, and other environmental skin-agers. Zinc helps heal and rejuvenate your skin. Zinc also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help inflammatory skin issues.
    • Vitamin C - is an antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals and aids in your skin’s natural regeneration process by helping your body repair damaged skin cells. When vitamin C is used topically the skin is triggered to heal itself, because it is very acidic it causes accelerated production of collagen and elastin.
    • Salicylic Acid - helps to dissolve skin debris that clogs pores and causes acne. Salicylic acid works great for treating blackheads and whiteheads.
    • Retinol - works to neutralize free radicals, stimulates collagen production, and accelerates skin turnover. Because of this it smooths fine lines and wrinkles and blurs acne marks and other blemishes.

What Do We Think About Dermacare?

The Dermacare website is extremely easy to use and the questionnaire is brief and to the point, however, their website feels outdated and not very thorough. There are many reviews of the products they provide that sound promising, so if you are looking to try an affordable skincare option Dermacare may be the right choice for you. We are a bit skeptical that Dermacare is one of the best skincare options, however, due to their outdated website and reviews.
